Well, it's been a couple of days breaking in Symphony, and I'm not entirely bored with it. It seems like a very flexible and extensible system, but it's got a pretty steep learning curve if you don't know XSL and XSLT. My next foray into Symphony is going to be creating a dedicated section to store the technical and experimental ideas I come up with—much like the javascript I created to create columns from text, and display them like you'd see in newspapers.

One of my neuroses is to have everything neatly organized—not neat as in tidy, neat as in everything has a clearly defined place that doesn't encroach on the space of other things. I just don't want the technical CSS, PHP, JS, SQL, or what have you t be grouped in the same area as the random stuff I post about my everyday life. I really don't think my OO PHP experiments should be in the same area as my stuff about welding, or commentary about national paranoia.

So, the next step I have with this is to create a separate "Lab" section.
